The Chesapeake Bay Community Band was formed in 1994 as the Kent Island Volunteer Marching Band and incorporated as a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. The group performs public concerts and provides musical support for community functions in Queens Anne's County Maryland and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay Region.

The group became the Chesapeake Bay Community Band in October of 2009. As is the tradition with community bands, the group includes musicians from all walks of life. The band's repertoire includes marches, classic concert band literature and Broadway favorites.

​Our Mission

To maintain a community band of youth and adult volunteers who provide a pleasurable musical and cultural experience through concerts for community functions in Queen Anne's County Maryland and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay Region all the while providing a forum for band participants to continue to expand their musical training and knowledge.

 
Our continuing goal is to grow in musical performance, experience and membership thereby enhancing the quality and enjoyment of performances.
